Preseason Football - Ugh

I watched some of the first half of the Skins/Titans game and I have a few thoughts.
Slingbox is pretty cool.  Not the greatest thing ever, but definitely cool.
I’m still amazed at how bad some (most?  all?) DVRs are.  Sure, it’s great technology and I couldn’t live without it but the design and development of the [...]

Apple not taking over the world yet

I expected Apple to be large and in charge here at BarCamp. While I’ve seen a handful of iPhones and certainly there’s plenty of black, white, and brushed aluminum Macs here I’ve also spotted quite a few Windows-based laptops.
The strangest site? A brand new MacBook Pro loaded up with and running Windows Vista.

BarCamp DC

A bunch of us from Viget Labs will be down at BarCamp DC tomorrow.  It’s an unconference - which just means there’s no set agenda of talks - the people who go to the unconference also present.  It’s part of the larger BarCamp scene.
It’s shaping up to be a great event and it should be [...]

Football Time

The Skins open their pre-season on Saturday.  I won’t get too excited yet (pre-season is way too long) but it does mean we’re getting close to the regular season.  I hope the Skins can turn it around this year.

I shop online for three main reasons:

Better deals (can I get it for cheaper [...]

Small City vs. Big City

At the end of the month we’re moving our office space from Falls Church, VA 22043 (which lies in Fairfax County) to Falls Church, 22046 (which lies in the City of Falls Church). I live in Falls Church, 22042 (also part of the gigantic Fairfax County). My wife and kid have used some [...]

Twitter

I know Twitter has been around for a while now but it seems like lately it has been really picking up steam. I know some people think Twitter is dumb, and maybe they’re right. Most people realize that it’s a microblogging tool. Pete Cashmore over at Mashable says that it was the [...]

PTI - Mike and Tony are back

Pardon the Interruption, a daily sports show on ESPN, is one of my favorite television programs… that I’ve never actually watched. I don’t get much time to watch TV other than handful of shows that my wife and I watch (when we’re not in reruns). I have also gone through long stretches in [...]
