Cheap Bluetooth Headsets

Apparently I’m a sucker for cheap Bluetooth headsets. I’ve owned quite a few over the years and I’ve never been happy with them. Maybe that’s what I get for buying cheap ones. Maybe I should take the plunge and buy something expensive… and hope that it’s actually better than the others.
I’ve had ones to link to my cell phone to make calls. I’ve had ones to hook to my iPod to listen to music.
Other than generally just not working that well this is my big complaint: the on/off switch. Actually, it’s the lack of one (at least a normal one).
Every Bluetooth headset I’ve had works the same way. To turn it on you hold down a button for 2-3 seconds. To turn it off you hold down the same button for 2-3 seconds. It’s a huge pain. What about a good old fashioned on and off switch? You know, something where you slide a lever, flip a switch, push a button (once, and quickly)? What’s wrong with that?
When I want to use a headset I just want to use it - I don’t want to wait 2-3 seconds as I’m holding down some stupid button. Ugh.
(I can deal with the crazy pairing process - although I’d appreciate it if all components involved could remember each other a little better.)
The only Bluetooth headset I’ve had that had this feature was the Motorola HS850, which had a boom that flipped open to turn it on. It was really nice to have something tangible to flip to get the headset working (though it still took a second to pair with the phone.)
